In the small towns of Minas Gerais, Brazil, time seems to have slowed down. Quiet streets, old facades, places that have barely changed in decades.

Those of us who live in big cities have lost the taste of simple things: the unhurried greeting, the open door, the time to sit and talk. I found it again here, in these places and among these people, simple and generous, always ready to stop and share a coffee, a story, a smile.

This reportage is a walk through those villages and the faces that live in them. No grand gestures, just everyday life, told as I found it.
